Water treatment made easy
27 November 2008
The Millenium 3 Logic Controller has long been considered the perfect solution for many applications including pump control and monitoring.
With this in mind Crouzet have decided to take things one stage further and introduced an extension module designed to monitor water quality, including temperature, conductivity, pH and Redox. This is particularly useful in swimming pools and spas where there is a need to control the filter, set filtering time in relation to the temperature, control the neutrality of the water (pH) and the level of water disinfection (Redox: chlorine based disinfectant). Water needs to be filtered regularly and the higher the temperature the longer it takes to filter the water and remove debris including suntan lotion, hair, insects, sand etc. Water quality is essential and regular checks should be carried out to check the neutrality of the water which should be between 7.2 and 7.5 pH. An optimum level of chlorine in water for destroying bacteria is also required. Both pH and Redox are measured using probes submerged in pipes, a buffer container or an analysis chamber and fed back to the Millenium Controller. This provides an ‘all-in-one’ solution to physical filtration and chemical treatment functions. The Millenium offers straight forward programming and additional functions to control all kinds of lighting, pumps and systems. It is not only perfect for use with swimming pools and spas but with any water treatment process.Other Press Releases By This Company
