Photoelectric sensors for use in vacuum environments
20 February 2009
High-vacuum environments make special demands on optical sensors; they are nearly always customised solutions.
The modular design approach taken by STM makes it easy for them to design optical sensors for use in a high or ultra-high vacuum. An added advantage of their compact dimensions means that minimal chamber volume is lost. The MICROmote range of sensors with separate amplifiers are ideal for optical applications in high vacuum. The sensor heads are tiny and can be shaped according to nearly any user specifications. The sensor amplifier is then installed outside of the vacuum chamber where they are easy to operate and read. Key features: • Suitable up to 10-9 mbar • Stainless steel or aluminium housing • Vacuum compatible cable options e.g. PTFE, polyketones, Kapton • High resolution up to <0.05 mmOther Press Releases By This Company
