Start you engines - Urban Hygiene clean up on and off the track
29 April 2009
Last years 2008 Future Classics Champions, Urban Hygiene, are under starters orders and hoping this year will be their best yet.
Managing Director Roy Johnson cannot wait to get out on the track and is looking forward to even more bumper to bumper racing that made the last season so exciting. The car, a full race Rover Tomcat producing some 300bhp, took a real battering last year and needed a complete nut and bolt overhaul. “We’ve taken this opportunity to do a few modifications too including a new front end to improve airflow, lower and stiffer suspension and one or two, top secret, tweaks that were hoping will give us an advantage on the track”, says Roy.
When you consider Team Urban Hygiene will be defending their title against Jaguars, Porches and BMWs' you could be forgiven for thinking their going to need all the help they can get but Roy is confident; “racing a car is like being in business” he says “it's all about staying ahead of the pack, focusing on the task in hand and delivering the best overall package, something Urban Hygiene are doing very well at the moment”.
With their easy-on anti graffiti coating selling in over 20 countries and easy-off graffiti remover used by two thirds of local authorities in the UK, Urban Hygiene look like they’re making a clean sweep of the anti-graffiti business too.
This years' season will take them racing all over the UK so look out for them racing round a circuit near you soon.
