A Vision for the future
29 April 2010
As a society we are becoming more environmentally conscious by the second.
Reminders are everywhere to be greener. At work in supermarkets, on the streets and in our homes. Always looking at our impact on the plant we’ve even started to by greener cars. You may be forgiven for thinking you can’t possibly make artificial turf lawn green (aside from the colour of course). Well now you can…….TigerTurf have developed a revolutionary new type of turf. Using patented technology to create the first synthetic turf made from recycled materials…
Vision is a synthetic turf landscaping product that utilises recycled plastic bottles to produce a grass that not only carries green credentials, but is also the one of the most natural looking surface on the market.
An average-sized lawn can reuse up to 9,000 plastic drinks bottles. This means by installing Vision in your back garden you are effectively recycling six peoples yearly consumption of plastic.
Aesthetically, Vision has already received outstanding praise. Due to its multi layered appearance, containing various shades of light brown and green, resulting in the grass being almost too realistic.
This is not just a product; it’s a breakthrough for the industry and ignites a new way of thinking. Part of TigerTurf’s strategy is to recognise the day-to-day operations impact on the environment, both directly and indirectly. Aiming to protect and improve the environment through good management and by adopting best practice is at the forefront of all new developments. TigerTurf works to integrate environmental considerations into business decisions and adopting greener alternatives wherever possible.
Vision is an impressive concept and product but it’s only a small part of the shape of things to come.
