New Managing Director for Leading Firm

The UK’s leading hot dip galvanizing company has just announced the appointment of a new Managing Director to lead the organisation.
Chris Woolridge has taken up the role for Wedge Group Galvanizing after over 11 years with the firm, in a move which sees the current Chairman/CEO Jeremy Woolridge step into the position of Executive Chairman. Promoted from his position as Director where he was responsible for four of the company’s sites, Chris has worked in a variety of roles across the company since graduating in 2002, including Sales, Operations and Group Functions. Chris also achieved an MBA from Birmingham University in 2008.
“It is a real privilege to take on the Managing Director role and have the opportunity to take the company forward. I’m very lucky to have a strong, well-established board as well as the continued guidance and support of my father, Jeremy Woolridge our Executive Chairman.
I see myself as a steward of the company, maintaining Wedge’s proud history as a privately-owned, family firm and supporting its ongoing growth and its values” he explained.
“I’m very much looking forward to continuing our strategy of continued investment here in the UK to further strengthen our position and increase our market share. With 14 sites strategically located across the length and breadth of the country, we are certainly well placed to capitalise on the recent improvement in the UK economy.” he concluded.
