Advanced ‘Entertainment’ Touch Screen System for Healthcare Applications
8th November 2011. Now available from DED, the Posiflex KS-6910HS touch screen system has been developed specifically with healthcare applications in mind. Utilizing a powerful Intel Pine View Dual Core D525 1.8GHz processor and 1 GB DDR3 memory (expandable to 4 GB) this innovative system provides an array of entertainment and communication features for patients in hospitals and residents in care facilities.A space saving design featuring a compact 10 inch touch screen, the KS-6910HS weighs just over 3kg with dimensions of 310mm wide x 206mm deep x 269mm high. The KS-6910HS offers the ability to make and receive phone calls either hands free or via a handset and the opportunity to make and receive online live video calls thanks to the tilt adjustable 2.0 mega pixel web camera. Offering patients the ability to listen to music via IP radio or watch TV and films, the KS-6910HS also offers wireless options to increase portability and user friendliness.
The KS-6910HS is mounted on a sturdy adjustable angle base and is also equipped with both VESA75 and VESA100 fixings should the unit need to be permanently fixed in position on an adjustable arm or wall mount bracket.
The KS-6910HS also comes with features for the safety and well being of patients and residents, offering an emergency call button to gain staff attention and security features for the protection of the patient’s privacy such as a finger print scanner for identification control and web cam on/off control.
With it’s fan free design ensuring silent operation at all times no matter what time of day it’s used, the KS-6910 features an optional 16GB SSD with no internal moving parts to further ensure silent operation, 5 programmable hot keys for simple use of the phone, webcam, internet and volume, 160GB HDD, OS support for POSReady, Win XP Pro, WePOS and features a LAN Port, 3 x Serial Ports, 4 x USB Ports, CF Card Slot, CR Port and comes in white.
